AquaMind ("we", "our", or "the app") is a hydration tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, collected, used, and handled when you use AquaMind.
By using the app, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
AquaMind is designed to keep your personal hydration information locally on your device.
This information is used to provide hydration tracking, reminders, and personalization. AquaMind does not transmit this locally stored data to our servers.
AquaMind uses third-party services that may automatically collect certain device, application, diagnostic, or usage information:
AquaMind shows ads (banner, interstitial, native, and app-open formats) served through Google AdMob. AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process your advertising identifier, IP address, device information, and app interaction data to serve and measure ads, and — where you've consented — to personalize them.
If AquaMind detects you're in a region covered by GDPR-style consent requirements, it shows Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form before any personalized ad is requested, letting you choose whether to allow personalized advertising.
You can review or withdraw ad consent at any time from AquaMind's own Settings screen, or manage ads personalization for your device generally at Android Settings → Google → Ads.
When you submit feedback from within AquaMind, the category, subject, and message you write are sent to Cloud Firestore. Each submission is tagged with a locally-generated device id, so we can follow up. You can optionally attach screenshots — at this time only the number of attachments is recorded, the images themselves are not uploaded.
AquaMind provides an optional integration with Health Connect by Android. This integration is disabled by default and becomes active only when you enable "Health Connect" in the app settings and explicitly grant the requested permission.
When enabled, AquaMind writes hydration volume and date/time of drinks you record in the app to Health Connect.
Health Connect data is used solely to sync hydration records you create in AquaMind. Processing occurs on your device. We do not upload Health Connect data to our servers or any third parties.
You can grant, deny, or revoke the Health Connect permission at any time through Android Settings → Health Connect → App permissions → AquaMind.
AquaMind's access to and use of Health Connect data complies with applicable Google Play Health Connect requirements, including its Limited Use requirements.
AquaMind may send local notifications to provide hydration reminders and daily hydration progress updates. You can disable notification permissions at any time through Android system settings.
Depending on the features you use and your Android version, AquaMind may request the following permissions:
The app requests permissions only when required for the corresponding user-facing functionality.
We may use third-party companies or services to provide application infrastructure, deliver notifications, analyze application performance, diagnose crashes, and serve and measure advertising. These service providers may process information only as necessary to provide their respective services and are subject to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
Hydration records, profile information, preferences, and other locally stored app data remain on your device until you delete the relevant data within the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.
Information processed by Firebase or Google Play Services is retained according to each provider's applicable retention settings and privacy policies. Feedback submissions stored in Cloud Firestore are retained until you request deletion (see below).
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information associated with the use of AquaMind. However, no electronic storage system or method of data transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Health Connect data is processed only for the hydration sync functionality described in this Privacy Policy.
AquaMind is not directed toward children under the minimum age required to independently consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, please contact us so that appropriate action can be taken.
AquaMind may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not operate these external services and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party website or service you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, applicable laws, or third-party services. Any updated version will be posted on this page with a revised Last updated date. Changes become effective when the updated Privacy Policy is published unless otherwise required by applicable law.
